golden hour is everything.
I LIVE for sun kissed images which means I always aim to schedule session an hour or two before sunset. There is nothing I love more than when the setting sun frames you and your horse and gives that golden glow... chefs kiss y'all!
we don’t do awkward prom poses here.
This is where I'm a little bossy... during the session I'll tell you where and how to stand, which way to position your horse, where to look and everything else in between to make sure you have model quality photos.
pre-session planning
As soon as your session is booked, we’ll begin planning the perfect shoot. I’ll schedule a pre-session consultation to discuss your vision and make sure everything aligns with your style and goals. Whether you need help with outfit styling, choosing locations, or selecting props, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Together, we’ll create a session that reflects the beauty of your relationship with your horse.
Styling Advice: I’ll help you choose outfits that highlight you and your horse, ensuring the colors and textures complement the overall look.
Location Planning: I’ll work with you to pick the ideal location, whether it’s your barn, a wide-open field, or a special place that holds sentimental value.
Session Preparation: We’ll also make sure your horse is comfortable, happy, and ready to shine, ensuring a seamless experience on the day of your session.
DURING THE SESSION
During the session, my focus is to keep everything fun, relaxed, and natural. I’ll guide you and your horse into poses that feel comfortable and authentic, making sure your personalities and bond shine through. Whether we’re chasing golden-hour light or capturing candid moments, I’ll work with you to create memories that go beyond just photos.
Relaxed and Fun Atmosphere: No stiff, formal posing here! I want you to feel at ease so that your connection with your horse comes through naturally.
Golden-Hour Magic: My favorite time to shoot is during the golden hour—just before sunset—where the natural light perfectly frames you and your horse.
Professional Guidance: Don’t worry about what to do in front of the camera; I’ll direct you through each moment, ensuring you look and feel your best.
after your session
After your session, I’ll begin the editing process, carefully selecting and enhancing your images to bring out the best in each moment. You can expect a beautiful gallery that captures the essence of your relationship with your horse.
Image Reveal: About two weeks after your session, we’ll schedule a personalized image reveal over Zoom, where I’ll walk you through the gallery. You can choose your favorite images and decide on prints, albums, or other keepsakes.
Final Delivery: Once you’ve selected your images, I’ll finalize the edits and deliver the gallery. Your images will be ready within 2-3 weeks, but expedited options are available if needed.

Head over to our Contact page to submit your inquiry. You’ll receive our session guide, which outlines full pricing and provides all the details you need to prepare for your session.

choose your package
Once you’ve reviewed the guide, email Keagan at photography@keaganphillips.com with your preferred package and ideal session date.
step three:
secure your spot
Once we confirm availability, you'll receive a contract to review and sign. To officially lock in your session date, simply submit a $100 retainer. After that, your spot is secured, and we can start planning your dream session!
step four:
pre-session planning
Once your date is booked, we’ll set up a consultation to plan all the details of your shoot, from styling to location, ensuring your session is perfectly tailored to you and your horse.

Yes! While I’m based in Dallas, Texas, I love traveling nationwide for sessions. Please note that travel fees may apply for locations over 50 miles from Dallas or for out-of-state shoots.

Absolutely! If you have multiple horses, we can include them for an additional fee, allowing you to capture the special bond with all of your equine partners.

I provide styling assistance during the pre-session consultation, offering tips on outfits that will photograph beautifully with your horse. Neutral tones and classic styles work best, but we’ll make sure your look reflects your personal style.

You’ll receive your images during the image reveal session, which takes place around 2-3 weeks after your photoshoot. From there, final edits and any print orders are typically ready within another 2-3 weeks.
